OnePlus Nord 2 5G, released in July 2021, is a performance-focused mid-range smartphone built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass 5) and back, and a plastic frame. It marked a shift by being powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AIprocessor and Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, delivering flagship-level performance in its category. The device came in configurations offering 6 GB, 8 GB, or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, which is not expandable. It features a fluid 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The camera system is a versatile triple-lens setup co-developed with Sony: a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP mono lens. The phone is powered by a non-removable 4,500 mAh battery and supports the incredibly fast 65W Warp Charge technology, which can charge the device from 0 to 100% in around 30 minutes. It launched with OxygenOS 11.3 (integrated with ColorOS codebase) based on Android 11 and includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port, NFC functionality, but notably lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
