OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, released in February 2022, is a mid-range smartphone built as the successor to the original Core Edition, focusing on essential features while maintaining 5G connectivity. It is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor (built on a 6nm process) and Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, offering efficient performance. The device came in configurations with either 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a standard 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which is notably expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. It features a fluid 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. For photography, it includes a versatile triple-camera system on the rear: a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens, along with a 16 MP front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a non-removable 4,500 mAh battery and supports the fast 65W SuperVOOC charging technology, capable of a full charge in around 32 minutes. It launched with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 and includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, NFC functionality, and retained the 3.5mm headphone jack.
