Description
Oppo R9 is a 2016 Android smartphone, also known as the Oppo F1 Plus in some markets, that emphasized selfie photography and a premium build quality, closely resembling the iPhone in design.
The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (~401 ppi density) and narrow bezels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor with Mali T860 MP2 GPU, paired with a substantial 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage (ROM), which can be expanded by up to 128GB using the hybrid dual-SIM slot.
A standout feature is its camera setup: it boasts a high-resolution 16 MP front-facing “selfie” camera (f/2.0 aperture) and a slightly lower-resolution 13 MP rear camera (f/2.2 aperture) with an LED flash. The R9 runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), with Oppo’s ColorOS 3.0 interface. It is equipped with a non-removable 2850 mAh Li-Po battery that supports Oppo’s proprietary and efficient VOOC Flash Charge technology, allowing for very fast charging. The phone also features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button, 4G LTE connectivity, dual-SIM capability, and weighs a light 145g.
