The iPhone 6, released in September 2014, featured a larger, redesigned aluminum body with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display (1334×750 pixel resolution at 326 ppi)
. It was powered by the 64-bit dual-core Apple A8 processor with 1GB of RAM and included storage options up to 128GB. The camera system comprised an 8-megapixel iSight rear camera with phase detection autofocus and True Tone flash, capable of 1080p HD video recording at 60 fps, and a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD front camera. A key addition was the introduction of an NFC chip primarily for Apple Pay mobile payments.
