OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable smartphone released in October 2023, is a high-end, 5G-enabled device that blends a premium, lightweight design with flagship performance and an advanced camera system. It is powered by the top-tier octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and Adreno 740 GPU. The device comes with a single memory configuration in most global markets: 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a generous 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, which is not expandable. A key feature of the phone is its dual display setup: an expansive 7.82-inch foldable main display (Flexi-fluid AMOLED) and a 6.31-inch cover display (Super Fluid AMOLED), both offering a crisp 2K resolution, a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and impressive peak brightness. The rear camera system, co-developed with Hasselblad, includes a versatile triple-lens arrangement: a 48 MP main sensor with OIS, a 64 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 48 MP ultrawide lens. The phone is powered by a non-removable 4,805 mAh battery and supports rapid 67W wired fast charging, capable of a full charge in around 42 minutes, though it lacks wireless charging capability. It launched with OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 and includes dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and NFC functionality.
