The iPhone 7, released in September 2016, featured a 4.7-inch Retina HD display (1334×750 pixels) and was the first iPhone to be officially
water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating. It was powered by the quad-core Apple A10 Fusion chip with 2GB of RAM and included storage options from 32GB to 256GB. A major change was the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, replaced by a capacitive, pressure-sensitive home button with Taptic Engine feedback and stereo speakers. The camera system was upgraded to a 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a wider ƒ/1.8 aperture, capable of 4K video recording, alongside a 7-megapixel FaceTime HD front camera.
