OnePlus 12R, released in early 2024 as a “performance flagship,” is a 5G-enabled smartphone that offers excellent value with a premium design featuring an aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front. It is powered by the previous-generation flagship octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and Adreno 740 GPU. The device comes with configurations of either 8 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB (UFS 3.1) or 256 GB (UFS 4.0) internal storage, which is not expandable. A key highlight is the bright 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution (1240 x 2772 pixels), an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate utilizing LTPO 4.0 technology, and a very high peak brightness of 4,500 nits. For photography, it features a triple-camera system on the rear, including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. The phone is powered by a massive non-removable 5,500 mAh battery, the largest in a OnePlus phone to date, and supports rapid 100W wired charging (80W in North America). It launched with OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 and includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a USB Type-C port, NFC functionality, and the brand’s signature Alert Slider.
